With The Regulation on the Amendment of the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages, published in the Official Gazette numbered 31227 on 28.08.2020, the deadlines for real and legal persons who are engaged in electronic trade businesses (“Service Providers”) to upload the approvals they receive from the recipients regarding delivery of commercial electronic messages, to the Commercial Electronic Message Management System (“MMS”) and for the recipients to check their approvals uploaded to the MMS have been postponed.
Accordingly,
- The deadline for Service Providers to transfer the approvals received for delivering commercial electronic messages to the MMS, which was 31.08.2020 has been postponed until 01.12.2020.
- The deadline for the recipients to check their approvals uploaded to the MMS, which was 30.11.2020, has been postponed until 16.01.2021.
The Ministry of Trade is entitled to postpone such periods for 6 months, considering the qualifications of Service Providers and the amount of commercial electronic message approvals.
