In order to regulate the procedures and principles regarding the production and use of the Turkish National QR Code in payment services, The Regulation on the Production and Use of Turkish National QR Code in Payment Services prepared by the Central Bank was published in the Official Gazette dated 21.08.2020 and numbered 31220 and entered into force on the same date.
The Regulation imposes various obligations on payment service providers regarding the use and production of the Turkish National QR Code and Static QR Code in payment services.
Payment service providers who offer the opportunity to pay with a QR code must have taken the necessary measures in their infrastructure and workplaces according to the Regulation until 31/12/2021.
